About

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

My research lies at the intersection of scientific computing, applied mathematics, and machine learning. I develop computational methods for high-dimensional problems, with a particular focus on tensor networks, optimal transport, and numerical representations of probability distributions and stochastic systems.

I am looking for motivated Ph.D. students interested in applied mathematics and machine learning. Prospective students are welcome to contact me by email.

Before joining HKUST, I was a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University, where I also completed my Ph.D. in Computational and Applied Mathematics under the supervision of Professor Lexing Ying. I received my B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Hong Kong.
